Crook County High School Football opened its season Friday night with a hard-fought effort in a chaotic 14–7 loss to the Estacada Rangers. There was plenty of promise for the upcoming season despite the delays and unusual ending.
Crook County High School has clinched the 2024–25 Oregon Athletic Coaches Association (OACA) 4A All-Sports Award—marking the first time since 1982 that the school has received the honor.
A half dozen runners with ties to Crook County — including four current Prineville residents and one from Powell Butte — will take part in the prestigious Boston Marathon on Monday, April 21.
