Prineville bar owner ordered to pay former employee nearly $8,000 amid ongoing troubles with state regulators

The owner of The Wrangler in Prineville has been ordered by the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries to pay a former employee nearly $8,000 in unpaid wages and penalties after state investigators determined the worker was given two paychecks that were returned for insufficient funds.

State regulators have confirmed that the Horseshoe Tavern, operated by Triangle C Investments LLC, was penalized in March of 2025 for failing to maintain workers’ compensation insurance for more than a year and remains under scrutiny for continued noncompliance.
