Two 15-year-olds involved in fatal motorcycle collision on SE Indian Lane Saturday night

Prineville, Ore. — A tragic motorcycle crash on SE Indian Lane Saturday night left one juvenile dead and another seriously injured, according to a media release from the Crook County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched at approximately 9:23 p.m. on December 6th to a report of a two-motorcycle collision. Investigators determined that both motorcycles were being operated by 15-year-olds when they collided head-on in the roadway before coming to rest in the middle of SE Indian Lane.

One juvenile was airlifted to St. Charles Bend by Airlink with serious injuries. The second juvenile sustained life-threatening injuries and died at the scene despite life-saving efforts by first responders.

The Sheriff’s Office extended its “deepest condolences to both families and friends involved in this tragic incident.”

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Crook County Fire & Rescue, Airlink, Prineville Police Department, Crook County 9-1-1, and Star Towing assisted at the scene.
