Prineville, Ore. – The Crook County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help as deputies continue searching for 29-year-old Gordon Grafton III, who was reported missing last week after leaving his home in the Post area.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Grafton was last seen on August 28th. His disappearance was reported the following day. On August 31, deputies located his vehicle abandoned in a remote part of southeast Crook County, but initial ground searches were unsuccessful in locating him.
The effort intensified on Tuesday, September 2, when deputies deployed drones and a tracking K9 in hopes of finding any sign of Grafton. Despite those efforts, the Sheriff’s Office said no trace of him has been found.
Authorities described Grafton as a 29-year-old man with distinctive tattoos on his neck and hands. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 541-447-6398.
Officials emphasized the investigation remains active, and further updates will be provided as the search continues
