
Prineville, Ore. – Officers with the Prineville Police Department responded Sunday evening to a reported domestic dispute that left one person seriously injured.
According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 5:30 p.m. to the area of NE Carson Street in Prineville. Upon arrival, officers detained two individuals and located an adult victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Police said officers immediately rendered medical aid before the victim was transported for treatment.
Authorities stated the situation was quickly contained and that all involved parties have been accounted for. Police emphasized there is no ongoing threat to the public, though community members were asked to avoid the immediate area while officers continue their investigation.
Due to the active nature of the case and privacy considerations, officials said additional details are not being released at this time.
As of 10:05 p.m. on Sunday, police were still actively present outside the residence on NE Carson, which was marked with crime scene tape.
