Prineville, Ore. – Prineville Police are investigating a vehicle pursuit early Saturday morning that ended with property damage in southeast Prineville but no reported injuries.
According to the Prineville Police Department, an officer attempted to stop a silver Ford F-350 around 1:46 a.m. near SE Knowledge Street. The driver failed to yield, leading officers and deputies with the Crook County Sheriff’s Office on a pursuit.
Police say the vehicle traveled through the parking lot of Crook County High School, an alley, and ultimately crashed through a wooden fence in southeast Prineville. Officers terminated the pursuit due to safety concerns and the driver’s recklessness.
The truck was later found abandoned in the southeast area of the city and impounded. While no injuries are known at this time, police said multiple victims sustained property damage.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released. Anyone with information or video related to the incident is asked to contact case agent Officer Zarom Bruce at 541-447-4168. Police also thanked the Oregon State Police for assisting.
