
Prineville, Ore. – Crook County Search & Rescue was activated Monday evening at 5:20 p.m. after reports of two lost individuals near the Ochoco Ranger Station, according to the agency’s Facebook post.
Upon arrival at the Ranger Station, SAR teams quickly located one subject. Crews then deployed a ranger and four ATVs to begin searching for the second individual. After several hours, the second subject was found and escorted back to the team’s staging area.
Both individuals were reported to be in good condition and were given rides back to town, the post stated.
Crook County SAR frequently responds to calls in the region, often deploying specialized equipment and volunteer teams to assist in locating and recovering lost or stranded individuals.
